Delio Rossi Has A Winning Mentality - Palermo Midfielder Fabio Liverani
Liverani talked about the impact new coach Delio Rossi has made at the club...
Delio Rossi has certainly started well on his new adventure at Palermo. In his first match since replacing Walter Zenga, the Rosanero beat Reggina 4-1 in the Coppa Italia last night.
Midfielder Fabio Liverani, who has already worked with Rossi before at Lazio, commented on the new coach's triumphant debut.
"He has immediately put us at ease and told us to play the way we know how," he said to Palermo's official site. "It was unthinkable to change completely after just two training sessions. The last few years have added a lot to him in terms of experience, he has a winning mentality which is based on hard work and desire to grow."
On his return from injury, Liverani said, "After my first match the feelings are positive, there's a bit of tiredness because yesterday's match was real, with tough challenges and situations that aren't similar to training games. It was an important test, now I have to improve in my consistency and I will be completely available to the coach."
On their next opponents Chievo, the midfielder commented, "The match in Verona will be fundamental, but it won't be easy because Chievo are a tough team. I hope to continue on the same road as yesterday, with the awareness that it's impossible to solve every problem in four days."
