Genoa Coach Gian Piero Gasperini: We Can Beat Sampdoria
The coach is full of confidence and believes the derby is there for the taking...
The Grifoni are eager to restore some pride following last week's loss to Livorno. The coach is eager to win maximum points, but he is well aware that high-flying Sampdoria will be no pushovers.
"It's important that we play like the real Genoa," Gasperini told the press.
"Having won the last two derbies has given us more faith and we are aware that we can win these games. However, we know you always have to start from zero."
Gasperini has told his side to lookout for Antonio Cassano and his secret inventory as he underlines the pitfalls they face.
"I don't think there are any favourites. Sampdoria are a dangerous team with individuals who can make the difference," added the Italian.
"We know Cassano's qualities and it's not the first time we have played against him."
