Juventus' Vincenzo Iaquinta Targeting January Return
The striker has been sidelined for some weeks now, missing out on important Serie A and Champions League clashes...
Juventus are hoping to recover striker Vincenzo Iaquinta as soon as possible, as his presence in attack has been sorely missed by the team.
The player is confident that he will make a return to the first team in January, once he has fully recovered from his knee injury, and says he is ready to help the Bianconeri reach their season objectives.
"The recovery is going well," confirmed the Italy international to sportmediaset.it.
"Now I just need a bit of patience and to wait that the knee deflates, to start running again, in about a week's time.
"Then, depending how it will respond once the normal workload resumes, we will evaluate the moment of return. I hope to be at 100% for January."
Juventus will face Inter next week, but Iaquinta warned his team-mates to remain focused on this Sunday's match against Cagliari.
"First there's Cagliari, against whom we must raise our heads," he continued.
"On December 5 there will be a very important game against Inter, but first we must think about the other games."
Juventus are currently in second place with 27 points from 13 games, five points behind league leaders Inter.
