Alessandro Gamberini To Return For Fiorentina Against Inter - Report
The Viola are preparing to take on the Nerazzurri, who continue to dominate Serie A. However, the Gigliati's squad has been boosted...
The Viola have won four in a row in Europe, becoming the first Italian side to book their place in the next stage of the competition this season. However, they suffered a 3-2 loss to Parma last weekend, knocking them down to sixth place in the league table.
Coach Cesare Prandelli will make a few changes to his first XI and is boosted by the return of central defender Alessandro Gamberini from injury, according to Firenze Viola.
At right-back, the experienced Gianluca Comotto will take over for youngster Lorenzo De Silvestri.
Alberto Gilardino will remain the focal point in attack, with Marco Marchionni and Juan Manuel Vargas in support on the flanks, but it remains to be seen whether Mario Santana or Stevan Jovetic will play the attacking midfield role through the centre.
The Montenegro international is reportedly still feeling pain in his left foot and may start from the bench.
The Viola won 1-0 against Olympique Lyonnais on Tuesday, while Inter were defeated 2-0 by Barcelona on the same evening.
