Milan’s Ignazio Abate: In Zurich To Qualify
The Rossoneri will need to obtain their qualification against Zurich in the final matchday of the Champions League group stage following their 1-1 draw against Marseille last night.
The result leaves everything still wide open as the Rossoneri are still not certain of qualification, but they could also end up in top place and therefore avoid some of the big guns.
“The draw is a good result,” commented the Italian player to Milan Channel. “In the end they had more energy than us, also because they played last Friday, whereas we played on Sunday.
“Now we shall play the qualification in Zurich and this team has all the qualities to go there and win.
“All the results will be possible in the last matchday, but we shall have to think about ourselves and try to obtain the three points.”
Milan will now resume their Serie A commitments on Sunday as they face Catania away from home in the 14th matchday of the Italian top flight.
