Fulvio Collovati, a 1982 World Cup winner, has discussed the upcoming derby between Genoa and Sampdoria, naming two players he believes will have a significant impact on Saturday evening's game.

Many may look to star names like Antonio Cassano or Hernan Crespo, but Collovati has two others in mind.

"[Sampdoria winger Daniele] Mannini and [Genoa striker Raffaele] Palladino will be key figures in the Derby della Lanterna," he suggested to Repubblica-Il Lavoro.

"Fourth place? It would be like a Scudetto for either team."

A fourth place finish in Serie A would allow either team to enter the preliminary round of the Champions League next season.

Collovati spent the majority of his career with Milan and Inter, but finished his playing days with the Grifoni. He is now a mainstay on the Rai Sports program 'Domencia Sportiva'.
