Manchester United Follow Napoli's Marek Hamsik & Palermo's Simon Kjaer - Report
In an attempt to inject some fresh legs into the Red Devils, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking at Serie A...
Manchester United are tracking Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik and Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring in some younger players to the club. The report claims scouts from Old Trafford have been watching the duo in Serie A, with the Slovakian being a priority.
Napoli value Hamsik between €25-30 million, but the player has always claimed he wants to remain at the club. Hamsik is seen as a future replacement for Paul Scholes, and Ferguson would love to have him in his side.
Hamsik was linked with Chelsea last week, but the club were quick to rubbish those reports.
As for Kjaer, he has impressed this term in Sicily and has attracted the attention of several clubs. The Red Devils would have to fight Juventus for the Danish international, as voices in Italy claim the Old Lady are keen on him.
