Inter Starlet Davide Santon Admits New Found Fame Took Him By Surprise

The 18-year-old has described his personal life, and it is clear that he wants to remain as indistinguishable as possible...

Inter full-back Davide Santon has conceded that his quick rise to stardom initially took him aback.

"I am pretty introverted," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport, describing his summer activities as fishing, beach tennis and archery.

"My new fame was not easy to manage, although I must say most people who know me are not obsessive. To be honest that makes me glad, that way my head does not get too big and is just the right size," he joked.

"I have not gone to the disco for months and I am now with a very normal girl. Certainly not a showgirl! Among my team-mates I often confide in [Mario] Balotelli.

"Even my everyday life is quiet now. Most of the time we train in the morning, then stop for lunch at Pinetina. I then go home, to my apartment near the San Siro, and take a nap."

Where does Santon see himself in 30 years?

"Certainly not with white hair. If I remained in football I would only work with youngsters," he concluded.
