Barcelona-Inter Will Be A Fantastic Match - Maxwell
The former Nerazzurri defender will put aside any emotions as he looks to help the European champions to a much-needed victory...
Barcelona left-back Maxwell has revealed that he is looking forward to Inter's visit to the Camp Nou on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian departed the Nerazzurri this summer and still holds affection for the club, but insisted that his main priority is helping his current side pick up the three points.
"It will be a fantastic and a special match - it's essential for us to win, we will come up against the best team in Italy," he proclaimed to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"We are professionals and this is a very important Champions League match, so memories and emotions will remain only until the start of the game. Now Inter are the opposition so we will do our best to nullify their main threats and win."
Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain doubtful for the game, but Maxwell believes that the Blaugrana can win without them.
"They are very important players for us, who can make a difference in a moment, but we must believe in the group," he said. "A player can't win a match on his own."
