Juventus have laid eyes on Cesena starlet Ezequiel Schelotto with a view to signing him during the January transfer window.

Tuttosport reports that chief scout Renzo Castagnini has been keeping tabs on the Buenos Aires-born ace. It is suggested that he will see him in action later tonight when Cesena clash with Torino.

It is said both coach Ciro Ferrara and director Alessio Secco have given the move the go-ahead. Schelotto is regarded as the new Mauro Camoranesi, and like the Juve man, he is of Argentine origin. The 20-year-old has, however, already played for the Italy Under-21 side.

The Emilia-Romagna-based club are looking for around €2 million - a figure which has been welcomed by Bianconeri president Jean-Claude Blanc, who is keen on investing in youth.

Despite the report, neither club has commented on the situation.
