Roma Star Daniele De Rossi ‘Feeling Well’ After Renal Colic Scare
The midfielder says that he has lost a little weight but that he is now feeling a whole lot better…
Roma midfield ace Daniele De Rossi has reassured the Giallorossi supporters that he is on the mend after being rushed to hospital with renal colic two weeks ago.
The 26-year-old was discharged on Thursday and briefly entertained the media when leaving the Stadio Olimpico after watching Roma defeat Bari 3-1 on Sunday.
“I am feeling well,” he smiled. “Have I shed a couple of kilos? Maybe more…”
De Rossi is expected to resume light training with physio Paolo Bertelli at the Trigoria training complex on Tuesday afternoon, when the Giallorossi start preparations for next weekend’s clash with Atalanta.
The Italy international is unlikely to be risked for the trip to Bergamo, but he could be given a run-out in the Europa League home tie with Swiss side Basel next week. That would allow him to prove his match fitness ahead of the Derby della Capitale against cross-city rivals Lazio on December 6.
