Sampdoria Director Giuseppe Marotta Discusses Giampaolo Pazzini Transfer Rumours
The Blucerchiati director denies speaking to any team about his star forward, despite what what rumours are floating around...
After labelling Antonio Cassano as the next Paolo Rossi, Sampdoria director Giuseppe Marotta has also discussed the future of Cassano's strike partner Giampaolo Pazzini.
With all the rumours circulating around the Italian international, Marotta wanted to clear the air and declare what has been occurring in regards to any movement over the winter transfer window.
"Giampaolo is second on the goalscoring ladder," Marotta discussed with Sampdorianews.net. "And this is most pleasing.
"The interest from clubs across the Channel is somewhere in the middle between what was written, and what has actually occurred.
"We have not spoken to anyone, and will hold onto him very tightly," the president added.
Arsenal and Chelsea are allegedly interested in the 25-year-old, and a figure around €25 million may be enough to persuade the Blucerchiati to part with Pazzini, according to reports.
