Udinese Boss Pasquale Marino: We Were Too Weak Up-Front
Marino lamented his side's lack of firepower...
Udinese coach Pasquale Marino confessed that the absence of a number of key attacking players contributed to his team's defeat at Juventus tonight.
The Zebrette went down 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in a game of few chances, during which Marino's men rarely threatened Gianluigi Buffon.
“The absence of certain figures made an impact, unfortunately,” complained Marino.
“After going 1-0 down we had some scoring opportunities, but were not very effective upfront. At least the team fought hard.”
Udinese were without star man Antonio Di Natale, as well as fellow first-team offensive stars Simone Pepe and Alexis Sanchez.
