The Standings Are Extremely Tight – Palermo Coach Walter Zenga
The Rosanero tactician wasn’t too concerned following his side’s recent setback...
After watching his Palermo outfit miss the chance to make another jump up the standings as they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Catania, coach Walter Zenga refused to get jittery as he spoke to SkySport shortly after the game.
“The standings are extremely tight,” he declared.
“While we are going through a great moment of form right now, there is still plenty of time to recover. Just like our rivals we have been having our ups and downs recently.
After coming up against his former side Catania, ‘The Spiderman’ then commented on his first Sicilian derby as coach of Palermo.
“We played extremely well in the first half, but after the break the game started to run away from us. As a consequence we started to become a little confused and our recent drop in form started to take over.
“I was pleased with the reaction late on, but it was too little too late.”
