Valeri Bojinov Praises Parma After Thrilling Win Against Fiorentina
The Bulgarian is over the moon after helping the Emiliani to a 3-2 victory over his former side.
Ex-Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov netted the Ducali’s second goal and heaped praise on his team-mates and coach Francesco Guidolin after the encounter.
“I am happy,” the Manchester City-owned man told Sky Sport Italia. “Parma is the right place for me. I am working well in order to improve my qualities.
“But if I am doing well, I must give credit to my team-mates. We played against a good team and performed like we usually do at home.
“The boss is really good at preparing us for the matches. It’s normal that I wanted to defeat Fiorentina and I expected this kind of performance.
“We were fired up and wanted to do well in Florence. Guidolin and I felt this game strongly…”
Bojinov spent a troubled season with the Gigliati in 2005-06 and the club used him as a bargaining chip to sign Adrian Mutu from Juventus at the end of the campaign.
Guidolin has been at odds with Viola boss Cesare Prandelli since his Palermo days when Mutu scored a goal against his team while a Rosanero player was lying injured.
