Esteban Cambiasso sealed the victory with a cool finish 18 minutes from time to extend the Nerazzurri’s lead at the top of Serie A to eight points, but has urged his team-mates not to rest on their laurels ahead of the match with Barca.
“Now we will go home to rest for a few hours and then we will have to focus on the Barcelona clash,” he told the Inter Channel.
“It was important to get a win here, because we know full well that you can’t underestimate any opponents in the Italian league.
“We dominated from start to finish. Bologna scored with their only shot on target. But we did very well in keeping our cool after their equalizer and in the end it has to be acknowledged that Inter created the most dangerous chances.
“We played well and deserved to come out on top.”
Inter lead the way in Champions League Group F with six points, while Barca sit one point behind along with Russian side Rubin Kazan.
