BOLOGNA

Viviano: 5 - Beaten three times and seemed nervous when dealing with shots from range.

Raggi: 5.5 - Frustrated Inter and Balotelli in particular, but he looked uncertain when the visitors applied real pressure on his side.

Portanova: 5.5 - He should have picked up Milito for Inter's first goal and was turned far too easily by Eto'o in the 57th minute - Bologna were lucky to escape without conceding.

Britos: 6.5 - Bologna's best defender. Used his strength very well against Balotelli and Eto'o, breaking up a number of Inter's attacks.

Lanna: 5.5 - Fortunate not to have Maicon frequently bearing down on him for the entire 90 minutes. Wasteful crossing.

Valiani: 5 - Overwhelmed by the Inter midfield as he was rarely involved in the hour that he spent on the pitch.

Guana: 5.5 - Worked very hard in the middle of the pitch, hassling and harrying the Nerazzurri players.

Mingazzini: 6 - One of the few Bologna players to be comfortable in possession, and got stuck in when needed.

Adailton: 6 - His long balls over the top of the Inter defence caused a lot of problems, and provided an excellent assist for the goal.

Zalayeta: 6.5 - He brought the ball down brilliantly before showing calmness in front of Julio Cesar to equalise. It was his only shot of the evening.

Di Vaio: 5.5 - The veteran failed to get a shot off all night and was frequently out-muscled by the Inter defence.

Substitutes:

Mudingayi: 5.5 - He was generally good in possession but not involved enough.

Osvaldo: 5.5 - Largely ineffective in the last 20 minutes.

Zenoni: N/A - Late cameo and no real time to get involved.

INTER

Julio Cesar: 6 - Nothing to do for the majority of the match, and was well beaten by Zalayeta's goal.

Maicon: 5 - Didn't have his best game and didn't see many of his trademark runs in the attacking third. Picked up a needless red card in injury time for protesting with the linesman.

Lucio: 6.5 - Caught out of position a couple of times after charging upfield and was asleep just after Inter scored their first goal, but was otherwise solid.

Samuel: 6.5 - Like Lucio, he was caught napping as Adailton's long ball set up Zalayeta for the equaliser but helped to prevent Julio Cesar from having much work to do.

Chivu: 6.5 - Less involved in the final third after Inter went in front, but a typically assured performance from the Romanian.

Zanetti: 7.5 - Good endeavour and work rate both when his side were in possession and when they were looking to win it back, and almost never gave away the ball.

Cambiasso: 8.5 - Stunning performance. Like Zanetti, he very rarely gifted the ball away and scored an excellent goal at the end of a move that he started himself.

Motta: 7 - He linked up very well with Milito and played some excellent balls, particularly to set up Balotelli after half an hour.

Stankovic: 6.5 - Quiet at first but grew into the game. Very unlucky not to score as his 36th minute shot hit both posts. Lacked that bit of quality to open up the Bologna defence on a regular basis.

Milito: 7.5 - Scored with a real predators strike before setting up Cambiasso with an exquisite cross.

Balotelli: 7 - A real enigma. Showed great strength to score with his head and showed some good touches, but also showed his petulance and lack of confidence in front of goal. Taken off at half time.

Substitutes:

Eto'o: 6.5 - Made some positive runs and could have picked up an assist when he crossed for Milito, but the Argentine hit the bar.

Vieira: 6 - Comfortable in a defensive role for the last 15 minutes.

Mancini: N/A - Given a 10 minute run out by Jose Mourinho at the end.
