Juventus have received a major set back as David Trezeguet's year ends on a sour note after being told he will be out for a month. He will miss the clash against Inter and is likely to return in the new year.

The hitman went down in training on Thursday afternoon with a problem. And, results in from the test lab have uncovered a deeper problem. 'Trez' has damaged his left calf muscle, and will be out for a minimum of 30 days.

A statement on the club's official website reads:

"David Trezeguet underwent an examination on Friday morning regarding the injury he sustained on Thursday. He has suffered a first grade injury to his calf muscle and it is predicted he will be out for 30 days.

"David will not play in the game against Udinese on Sunday."

The hitman was due to receive a special reward from the club on Sunday for equalling Omar Sivori's 167 goal haul.

It's not the news Ciro Ferrara wanted as he is also without Vincenzo Iaquinta. Alessandro Del Piero is likely to get the nod and wink.
