Palermo Boss Walter Zenga Becomes A Father
The wife of the Rosanero coach has given birth to a baby girl named Samira, prompting congratulations from both sides of the Sicilian divide…
“Pink ribbon at Zenga’s home,” reads a statement on the Sicilians’ official website.
“The daughter of boss Zenga, Samira, was born in Palermo today. President Maurizio Zamparini and the entire Rosanero family send regards to ‘Coach Z’ and his wife, Raluca.”
Palermo are preparing for this weekend’s derby clash with arch-rivals Catania, and the Etnei have also congratulated their former tactician, who left the Stadio Massimino over the summer.
“The president, the chief executive, the directors, the coaches and the players of Catania Calcio send warm regards to Palermo coach Zenga and his wife Raluca for the birth of little Samira," a note on the club's website reads.
Zenga lead Catania to a resounding 4-0 win over Palermo at the Stadio Barbera last season.
