Juventus Have Won 29 Scudetti, Not 27 - Fabio Cannavaro
The star defender says he keeps his medals at home, despite the trophies being taken away from the club...
Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro believes that the Bianconeri have won 29 Scudetti, instead of the 27 officially credited to the club.
Having been a part of the 2004/05 and 2005/06 season-winning teams, Cannavaro feels that the players still gave it their all to win, despite being involved in match-fixing scandals.
"The Scudetti? For me, they are 29," the 36-year-old told Juventus Channel. "Those two which they revoked I still feel are mine.
"I felt the sensations, went through the fatigue, and enjoyed the celebrations.
"The medals won are sill at my home."
'Canna' also went to discuss the team's upcoming run of matches, which sees them play some tough opponents both domestically and in Europe.
"I see that many are already speaking of the match against Inter [on December 5]," the Italian international stated. "But personally I have decided not to speak of this subject for the next two weeks.
"I am interested in the matches against Udinese and Bordeaux.
"The first must make us understand that we must not give up in the championship, whilst the second must grant us the ticket to the next round of the Champions League.
"Luckily, after the break we will have the return of many important players like [Alessandro] Del Piero and for us, it is a good thing since we need everyone." concluded Cannavaro.
