Not Calling Up Antonio Cassano Screams Of Revenge - Italian Politician Ignazio La Russa
The well-known politician ponders as to why Marcello Lippi has not given a spot to Fantantonio...
Italian politician Ignazio La Russa has weighed into the Antonio Cassano-snub case, by declaring that national team coach Marcello Lippi's actions scream of revenge.
Instead, according to the noted MP, Lippi would prefer to bring into the side Juventus forward Amauri, and this makes no logical sense to him.
"I'm declaring this now," La Russa told 24oredisport.com. "Cassano will not make the Italian national team, and it is a decision that screams of revenge.
"Amauri yes, Cassano No. There is no longer any logic," La Russa summed up.
Rumours have been circulating that Lippi's son Davide, had a falling out with Fantantonio, and this is why the Sampdoria hitman has not made the national team.
