I Hope Francesco Totti Plays For Roma Against Us - Bari Coach Giampiero Ventura
Though his side have started the season superbly, the trainer remains respectful of Sunday's opponents...
Francesco Totti has been sidelined for over a month, but reports suggest that the Roma medical staff have tentatively pencilled in Sunday's clash with Bari as his return date.
The Galletti's coach, Giampiero Ventura, has admitted that he would like to see 'Er Pupone' take to the pitch when his side travel to the Stadio Olimpico.
"We are in a moment in which the league isn't decided yet so we can play our games in a different manner," Ventura told Teleradiostero.
"Roma are improving, their qualities are superior to ours. I hope that Totti is there because, disregarding the result, which obviously counts for a lot, it would be great to make it difficult for a team with so many champions."
Many wrote off Bari before the league had begun, but Ventura has guided his side to ninth place after 12 games and is happy with his players' efforts.
"It's gratifying for a coach to see the desire to do something great in the eyes of his players," he stated. "We are trying to surprise and to some extent we have been successful - the league position could be even better."
