Napoli have rubbished reports claiming Marek Hamsik would be joining Chelsea during the January transfer window.
On Tuesday, the Daily Mail claimed Hamsik was being followed by the Blues who were looking to take full advantage of their freedom to buy after their transfer embargo was temporarily lifted in relation to the Gael Kakuta case.
The report insinuated that the Slovakian midfielder was a priority along with several other European aces.
However, their claims have been downgraded by the club and sporting director Riccardo Bigon, who was quick to debunk the noise, and send a clear message to the rest of Europe.
"There has not been any direct or indirect contact with Chelsea for Marek Hamsik. He will stay with us," Bigon told Sky Sport Italia.
