Vincenzo Matarrese Will Not Sell Bari - Report
The Galletti owner slams suggestions that he will sell the club to American businessman Tim Barton...
After careful consideration, Bari president Vincenzo Matarrese has revealed that he will not be selling the club to American businessman Tim Barton.
Matarrese believed that after 32 years, it was almost time to move on from being the owner of the club, but has made an about-face and decided that the Galletti are not for sale.
"I thought the moment had arrived after 32 years, to let go of the team," Matarrese told Corriere Dello Sport. "But I will not sell now.
"I am happy to be in Viareggio [for an Italian sporting award ceremony] because with former coach Eugenio Faschetti, I went through some important seasons when he was our coach.
"Now with Giampiero Ventura and last season with [now Atalanta boss Antonio] Conte, we went through some good times, and am happy with the way things are going now," concluded Matarrese.
The Giallorossi's next opponent will be Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital.
