Report: Roma Ace Daniele De Rossi Could Miss Two Serie A Games
The midfielder is expected to be discharged today, but there are fears he will require colic surgery. He is therefore doubtful for the forthcoming matches against Bari and Atalanta...
As reported on Sunday, Roma midfield star Daniele De Rossi is likely to be discharged from the Gemelli Hospital over the next few hours, but he could yet miss a couple of fixtures.
Leggo newspaper claims that the treatment of his renal colic is failing to yield the expected results. The 26-year-old could therefore be forced to return to the Gemelli for a third time this month to have laser stone surgery, a procedure that is used to treat kidney stones.
The operation would obviously require De Rossi to take an anaesthetic, only days after enduring surgery on a facial injury last Monday.
The Italy international would consequently be ruled out for the home clash with Bari next Sunday and presumably for the trip to Atalanta the following week.
De Rossi went under the knife at the Gemelli Hospital after fracturing his cheekbone in a clash with Patrick Vieira during the recent 1-1 draw with Inter.
