Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco has responded to Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini, raising the temperature a little more ahead of Sunday's fiery Derby di Sicilia.
The Etnei are languishing in the relegation zone and are desperate for points.
'Zampa' claimed his side will thrash Catania, but Lo Monaco believes derby matches are not so easy to call.
"Zamparini said Palermo would win 4-1? Well, lets play the game and then we will see how things unfold," Lo Monaco told Sala Stampa.
"Zamparini is used to coming out with big remarks. We are playing them on an equal level and we have nothing to envy them for. We will do everything to ensure his predictions don't come true."
The Rossoazzurri would find themselves rock bottom of the league if they lose and Siena win next weekend.
