thumbnail Hello,

The hitman has reiterated his desire to stay at the San Siro after Holland’s draw with Italy last night.

Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has reaffirmed his intention to remain at Serie A side Milan when the transfer market re-opens in the new year.

The 26-year-old has seen little playing time since joining the Rossoneri from Real Madrid over the summer and has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League in the press.

But he seems unwilling to throw in the towel and vowed to force his way into the Diavolo starting XI after making a substitute appearance for the Netherlands in last night’s goalless draw with Italy.

“I want to stay at Milan,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I had my chances at the start of the season, but I was not good enough to make the most of them.”

Huntelaar has been regularly benched by Milan coach Leonardo in recent weeks and has slipped behind Italian duo Marco Borriello and Filippo Inzaghi in the pecking order.

“There will be time to recuperate and I’m sure I will have my opportunity too,” concluded the ex-Ajax man.
