Genoa Ace Bosko Jankovic Books January Return
The injured Serbian has resumed light training and is confident he will be back in action in the new year.
Genoa midfielder Bosko Jankovic has revealed his recovery from injury is going according to plan and, barring any new setbacks, he could return to help the Grifoni cause soon after the Christmas break.
The 25-year-old damaged ligaments in his left knee during pre-season and there were fears he would have been sidelined for up to six months, but he now seems in line for an early comeback.
“I have started running and I should be back in January,” he told Il Secolo XIX newspaper.
“I am feeling fine and I think I’ll be available in the new year.”
Jankovic is currently in Belgrade where he is undergoing his rehabilitation process at the Center Master Phisical.
“I have gradually resumed running,” he added.
“And that’s already a good omen. I am physically okay and the muscle tone held up well after the surgery.
“I have not missed a single Genoa game so far. And I want to wish a swift recovery to [Houssine] Kharja who is in a similar situation. And I also want to congratulate [Raffaele] Palladino on his Italy return.”
