Former Juventus midfielder Franco Causio is confident Ciro Ferrara is the man to wrest the title from Jose Mourinho's Inter this term.

The Italian, who spent 13 years at Juve over two spells and also had a brief affair with the Nerazzurri during the mid 1980s, is already looking forward to the Derby d'Italia showdown between the teams in three weeks. Causio is expecting fireworks in the build up to the game, but has hope that the Old Lady will prevail.

"Juventus - Inter is the mother of all games. It was like this in the past and it will always be," Causio told Tuttosport.

"The rivalry has always existed. We are speaking about two of the biggest clubs in the league, and the duels will always continue."

While there has always been a distinct rivalry that has separated the teams, Causio believes the Calciopoli scandal as well as regular snipes from Inter coach Jose Mourinho have taken the clash to a new level.

"I think Calciopoli and the stripped Scudetti, as well as Jose Mourinho's arrival, has strained [Juventus'] relationship with Inter further," added Causio.

"Mourinho is a great communicator and I am expecting him to say something new prior to when the teams meet on December 5."

The 'Special One' has never been camera shy, but it's the talking on the field that counts. Causio believes this is where Ferrara will come in.

"I think Ferrara can silence Mourinho on the pitch, and I am hoping he does," concluded the Italian.
