Cagliari midfielder Daniele Dessena has declared that he does not fear Milan, eight days before the teams face each other in Serie A.

Only three points divide them from the Rossoneri, and the Rossoblu will do their best to maintain or cut the gap next weekend.

"We're definitely not scared of Milan," affirmed the Sardinian side's player to sportmediaset.it.

"We're ready to battle and we're fully concentrated. In my career, at this point of the season, I have never found myself so high in the standings, but the road to reach our objective is still long; we must continue like this."

Dessena is currently co-owned by Sampdoria and Parma, but he is hoping that Cagliari will keep him after his loan contract expires.

"I read that Cagliari want to buy my full ownership," he continued. "I say, 'I hope so.' On this matter I actually want to tell president [Massimo] Cellino to make an effort."

Cagliari are currently in eighth place with 19 points from 12 games played. They are ten points clear of the drop zone.
