Having both scored 16 goals to date, the Sicilian and Sardinian outfits don’t seem to be struggling up front, however both have their sights strongly set on Brazilian attacking starlet Maicon, who currently plays for Fluminense.
Recent reports suggested that the two clubs were considering making a move for the player at the completion of the season, however according to Corriere dello Sport, this has all now changed, as the two respective presidents are said to be keen to add the 19-year-old to their ranks as soon as possible.
In addition to this, the young striker is said to be ready to make the move to Europe, so with this in mind, meetings are set to be scheduled with the Brazilian outfit in the coming week, whereby both Italian teams will attempt to reach an agreement.
According to Itasportpress, the attacker will cost around €5 million, however it is sure to be a worthy investment, considering his experience at having played for the Brazilian Under-20 national team.
