Inter Midfielder Wesley Sneijder Out For 10 Days - Report
The Dutch star will miss tomorrow's friendly against Italy and possibly Inter's Champions League match at Barcelona.
Earlier today Inter coach Jose Mourinho told his midfielder Wesley Sneijder to be careful for dangerous tackles from the Juventus players in the Azzurri squad in tomorrow's Italy-Holland friendly.
Of course there was some irony in that comment, but Mourinho's fear for the player's fitness has proved justified. During today's training session with the Oranje, the Inter playmaker suffered a muscular injury to his right thigh, according to Goal.com Italia.
Holland coach Bert van Marwijk had initially said that the player would be in doubt for the match, but more news on his condition have left little doubt. The prognosis is of a seven to ten-day stop. Sneijder will thus be out for the Italy-Holland match, and may also miss the Barcelona-Inter clash in the Champions League.
Sneijder had made his return on the pitch in the Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev nine days ago, after sustaining the same injury in the league match between Inter and Catania.
