David Trezeguet: I Won't Leave, Things Have Changed At Juventus
'Trez' has stated that Ciro Ferrara's arrival in Turin has made a big difference to his attitude. He now wants to remain with the Bianconeri...
David Trezeguet has confirmed earlier statements from his agent, which suggest he no longer intends to leave Juventus.
"I had though about leaving this summer, that's true," he said to Italian television station Raidue.
"The change of coach has been very important for me, and on a personal level things have also changed."
The striker was blighted by injuries and poor form in 2008-09, only scoring once in eight appearances in Serie A, but he has found his touch again this campaign, with six tallies to his name already.
He believes Juventus have the capability to challenge any Serie A team, including Inter.
"I don't think Juve should fear anybody, we know that Inter are a competitive team, but we also know our club has made good acquisitions and is much stronger than in recent years," he continued.
"The Champions League? It's a trophy I have never had the joy of winning. It is another objective for us. The fans and myself want to achieve this goal and this year could be the decisive year for us."
