thumbnail Hello,

The 28-year-old could make his debut this season against Catania...

AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera has told the press he will be ready to return to the pitch in two weeks time.

"In this moment I am doing quite well, because I'm training without any major problems," he told Milan Channel.

"The last game I played was in Catania and there is the possibility I could return in two weeks to face Catania again."

The player is eager to get back on the pitch after a lengthy absence. He only featured for the Rossoneri 22 times last season and has yet to make an appearance in the new campaign.

"I miss playing football so much. What is clear at this time is that I'm doing important work [in training], I no longer have those problems that flare up daily," he continued.

"I am optimistic for the future and shall return soon."

The former Parma and Brescia defender was originally expected to be out until the new year.
