Sporting Star Miguel Veloso Will Not Move To Fiorentina Or Genoa - Agent

Sporting's Miguel Veloso is wanted by many European clubs.

Sporting CP midfielder Miguel Veloso will not be joining Fiorentina or Genoa in the January transfer window, according to his agent, Paulo Barbosa.

Veloso has been tipped to join Fiorentina by a number of reports in Italy after sporting director Pantaleo Corvino showed an interest in him. On Thursday, further speculation suggested Genoa had joined the race for the highly-rated star.

However, any hopes they had of landing him this winter have been dashed by Barbosa.

"Veloso to Fiorentina? No. There is nothing true in this," the agent told Fiorentinanews.com.

"Fiorentina were interested in the past, but at the moment there is nothing."
