Talented Defender Federico Peluso Wants To Remain With Atalanta - Agent
The defender is showing promise, and teams are interested in his services...
Atalanta defender Federico Peluso is receiving rave reviews for his performances so far this season, which has also caught the attention of some of the higher profiled clubs in Italy.
The centre-back, though, has no intention of leaving the Nerazzurri, as confirmed by his agent, Lionello Manfredonia.
"Federico has the qualities to emerge into one of the best defenders in Serie A," Manfredonia said to Atalantanews.com, as reported by Datasport.
"It has helped him that there has been an injury or two in defence, but he has been good enough to grasp this opportunity. He is comfortable working with [Antonio] Conte, as was the case with [former Atalanta boss Angelo] Gregucci.
"He thanks the coach for his opportunity to play in the league.
"There are not a lot of left-sided central defenders in this role, and we both hope that we does well.
"For him, Atalanta is a strong club and an important side," concluded Manfredonia.
The Bergamaschi play Siena when the league resumes in a fortnight.
