Lazio Accuse Goran Pandev Of Breach Of Contract
The first hearing of the case has been delayed until November 17, but the Biancocelesti lawyer has been quick to explain the club's stance on the Pandev matter...
Serie A club Lazio insist that striker Goran Pandev is guilty of breach of contract for saying that he lacked the motivation to stay at the Stadio Olimpico over the summer.
The Macedonian ace has started proceedings to have his contract with the Aquile rescinded after being frozen out of the side.
The first hearing of the case in front of the Judicial Committee of the Italian FA was supposed to take place on Monday morning in Milan, but it has been postponed until November 17.
Lazio lawyer Gian Michele Gentile reiterated the club’s stance on the matter before leaving the Lega Calcio headquarters.
“Pandev said he didn’t have any motivation to stay last June,” the lawyer is quoted as saying by the Adnkronos news agency.
“Those were statements that we believe constitute a breach of contract.
“The player had stated that he was lacking the necessary motivation, and the club deems that he disrespected the terms of his contract.”
