Cesare Prandelli Proud Of Fiorentina Players
The Viola obtained a precious win away from home against Udinese yesterday to get back in the Champions League zone...
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was very satisfied with how his side played during the 1-0 win away to Udinese on Sunday afternoon in the 12th matchday of the Italian top flight.
This was an important win for the Viola, prior to the international break, as it leaves them in a good position ahead of the important clashes awaiting them in November and December.
"I'm proud of my lads, today it wasn't easy to take home the result after a period of intensive matches, seven in 24 days," explained the former Parma mentor to firenzeviola.it.
"I'm very, very satisfied with the way we expressed ourselves on the pitch. Udinese is a team which plays good football. I compliment my players who were good and played in orderly fashion for the entire game."
In particular, he praised midfielder Riccardo Montolivo, who Prandelli thinks that he can also be an important player for the Italian national team.
"He's a player who can make the difference, even at international level," he continued.
Fiorentina have now reclaimed fourth place in the standings, as they have 21 points from 12 games, along with Sampdoria.
