Parma striker Nicola Amoruso celebrated his side's sixth win of the season, as they defeated Chievo Verona 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Amoruso explained the difficulties the Gialloblu had in beating their opponents, and said that this made the three points feel more precious.

"Chievo are one of the most in-form teams of the league, therefore this win gave me and the team a lot of satisfaction," declared the former Juventus player to fcparma.it.

"I know the league well and I know how difficult it is, with the passing of the games, to continue obtaining points. Let's keep our feet to the ground.

"The most important thing was to win the three points. It wasn't easy on such a heavy pitch to play our game, but we succeeded.

"Right now, everything is coming our way considering the standings, because no one at this point of the season would have expected Parma to be so high."

Parma are, in fact, in sixth place alongside Genoa, thanks to the 20 points they have picked up after 12 games. They currently sit just one point off a Champions League spot.
