Roma Angry With Brazil For Calling Up Doni And Juan - Report
Despite not being left out of tonigh's match against Inter, Doni and Juan have been included in Brazil's squad of players, which has not gone down well with Roma.
Throughout this week Roma coach Claudio Ranieri tried to bring goalkeeper Alexander Doni and defender Juan back to fitness for tonight's match against Inter.
The shot-stopper had suffered an injury to his thigh bone during the Europa League match against Fulham, and in the end neither he nor Juan have been called up. However, they have been included in Brazil coach Carlos Dunga's list of players for the upcoming international matches.
"Juan doesn't feel good as he has a muscular problem," Ranieri said during yesterday's press conference, "we can't risk having to make a change from the start."
Doni's agent was surprised by the player's exclusion, saying "he was ready to play, he played in Bologna in worse conditions, and only found about the exclusion after reading the list."
Tthe fact that both players were included in Brazil's list of called up players has angered Roma president Rosella Sensi, and it seems the club will now try to stop the two from joining the Selecao.
