Giuseppe Giannini Tips Roma To Turn Around Fortunes
The Giallorossi legend believes his former team can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
“The team reacted and showed they want get out of this situation,” Giannini told Teleradiostereo.
“I know there are some bad feelings among the fans, but we are used to these difficult moments and it’s in times like this that the big heart of the Giallorossi fan comes out to support the players.”
Ranieri took over from Luciano Spalletti in September and has insisted he cannot be blamed for the team’s current shortcomings.
“A coach tries to protect his players at all times, even though he didn’t choose them,” explained Giannini.
“Then again, other tacks can be used. Perhaps, Ranieri wanted to motivate the group and force the players to accept their responsibilities.”
Roma pay visit to league leaders Inter this evening.
