Juventus' Fabio Cannavaro Ecstatic With 400th Serie A Match Milestone
The 'Berlin Wall' celebrated his 400th Serie A appearance with a 5-2 win against Atalanta Saturday night.
Juventus defender Fabio Cannavaro celebrated his 400th match in the Italian top flight on Saturday evening with a 5-2 win against Atalanta in the 12th matchday of Serie A.
The veteran World Cup-winning captain was overjoyed with this milestone and is now hoping to increase his number of appearances as much as possible with more quality performances to help the Bianconeri win trophies.
"It's 400 games in Serie A, plus the ones from Spain, in the cups and the national team," declared the former Real Madrid player to juventus.it.
"They start to be a lot and they are the reward for the many sacrifices I made during these years. The secret? Trying to set yourself new objectives.
"I'm also happy because tonight we had a nice win. The team deserves a high vote, we controlled the game and reacted well to two goals from Atalanta. I really saw the right spirit."
Juventus consolidated second place in the standings as they now have 24 points from 12 games played, four points behind Inter and three ahead of Sampdoria.
