Leonardo Bonucci & Andrea Ranocchia Are Italy's Future - Bari Coach Giampiero Ventura
If the defensive duo keep their feet on the ground, they can go all the way to the top...
As a result, Galletti coach Giampiero Ventura is enthralled with his central defensive pairing of Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Ranocchia, and believes they have a bright future ahead of them.
"[Their future looks] very positive, if they don't let it get to their heads and continue working seriously and with application," he explained to ilsussidiario.net.
"Bonucci and Ranocchia can aspire to play in big teams, even the greatest. I think that if they deliver on their promise, they can even attain a place in the national team."
Ventura was eager to point out that the club's defensive record was not just down to the two youngsters, but that teamwork has been vital so far for his side.
"It's the result of the qualities of individual players and from our collective organisation. From a tactical point of view, we aren't doing badly," he stated.
Bari's next fixture pits them against Livorno, who were also promoted from Serie B last season, at 15.00 CET on Sunday.
