Inter are preparing to welcome an underachieving Roma side to the San Siro on Sunday night, but Jose Mourinho isn't being duped by the Giallorossi's lowly league position.

"Inter-Roma is a game between two great squads," Mourinho explained in his pre-match press conference.

"They have high quality on the pitch and the table doesn't reflect their real potential. There are 14 points between us, it's true, but they have dropped points on the road.

"But I like Roma and their players. I don't know how we will play - [Claudio] Ranieri generally played with a 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1 or a diamond - but we are working so that it isn't easy for them."

The Nerazzurri scored twice in the last five minutes against Dynamo Kiev to secure their first victory in this season's Champions League, thereby putting them top of Group F.

Mourinho, however, has attempted to play down the delight with the victory and suggested that it is merely the sign of a team that fights until the very end.

"In the Champions League we achieved a great victory, but it was just a victory, worth three points like the others so it doesn't change much," he insisted.

"I don't understand this euphoria, we are continuing to work like we always do. We must show ourselves to be a team with a great mentality, which never tires."
