Juventus Striker David Trezeguet Is Worthy Of Omar Sivori’s Record - Nestor Sivori
The French hitman has received high praise from the legendary Omar Sivori's son. 'Trez' is on the verge of writing his name into Nerazzurri folklore...
Juventus striker David Trezeguet has been described as a worthy successor to Omar Sivori's goal record by the legendary striker's son, Nestor.
'Trezegol' is just a strike away from equalling Sivori's 167 goal haul for the Old Lady. Sivori played for the club between 1957-1965, but sadly passed away four years ago aged 69.
His son, Nestor, believes the Frenchman is worthy of sharing his father's record once he reaches it, which could be on Saturday night against Atalanta.
"I am aware of Trezeguet, but records are there to be broken," Nestor Sivori told Tuttosport.
"I think Trezeguet will be an excellent successor to the record when he surpasses it. Trezeguet is an extraordinary striker."
Despite the Frenchman's similarity to Sivori in terms of the record, Sivori believes the former Monaco ace is more like the legendary John Charles.
"I think the Trezeguet of those times would have been John Charles. My father was perhaps more like Alessandro Del Piero," concluded Sivori.
