Udinese Star Antonio Di Natale Relishing Fiorentina Test
The Zebrette striker claims he is ready to find the back of the net once again...
A slight injury has hampered the effectiveness of the player and coach Pasquale Marino has opted to use him sparingly in order to avoid the risk of further injury. However, the 32-year-old is now back in shape.
"I started really well with nine goals, after five months out with injury, I'm not sure how I managed it," explained the former Empoli star to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"It is not normal to always be at your maximum."
The Friuli outfit face Fiorentina on Sunday, who are coming off a resounding 5-2 win over Debrecen in the Champions League.
"Against Fiorentina it will be a difficult game, but we want to do well in front of our fans. They are a well organised team and even without [the injured Adrian] Mutu have a lot of quality."
Udinese have a host of injuries of their own to contend with, as Alexis Sanchez and Antonio Floro Flores are nursing knocks, so the Italian international may play as a central striker.
"I can play in the centre or wide on the left. I willingly would play either role. The decision on how I will be used on Sunday is still a mystery," he concluded.
Di Natale last scored in a 2-1 loss to Inter on October 3.
