AC Milan Midfielder Gennaro Gattuso Out For Two Weeks - Report
The Italian is set to miss out on international action as his injury is more serious than initially thought....
AC Milan have been dealt a major blow as Gennaro Gattuso is out for two weeks following the injury he sustained in training on Wednesday.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Italian international has undergone tests at Milanello this afternoon, and the results have revealed some bad news for Leonardo.
The report suggests Gattuso has been diagnosed with a first grade muscle tear in the flexors of his right leg.
As a result, he is now expected to miss up to two weeks of action. He will now miss the international friendlies for Italy against the Netherlands, and Sweden respectively.
The rest of the squad trained ahead of this weekend's clash against Lazio. Massimo Ambrosini is likely to take Gattuso's place on Sunday afternoon.
It's not the news Gattuso wanted to hear. He has endured a rotten year with consistent injury woes.
