Bari Ace Edgar Alvarez Seeking Revenge On Livorno

The Honduran has revealed that he had the “worst season” of his career in Tuscany…

Serie A revelations Bari welcome Tuscan outfit Livorno to the San Nicola on Sunday, and Galletti hitman Edgar Alvarez can’t wait to take on the team he represented in 2007-08.

“I was on loan in Tuscany and had the worst season of my career,” he is quoted as saying on Sportal.tv.

“I only made eight appearances. The boss had no faith in me. But aside from that experience with them, it will be an important and difficult clash for us - it is a match against one of our direct rivals.”

Bari currently sit in a comfortable mid-table position, but Alvarez says they must keep their feet on the ground.

“Our primary objective is still to avoid relegation,” he mused.

“To achieve that we must keep patient and remain focused at all times.”

Bari held second-placed Sampdoria to a goalless draw at the Marassi last weekend.
