Daniele De Rossi: Roma Must Return To The Champions League
De Rossi is keen for the Giallorossi to rise back into Europe's elite as quickly as possible...
"The squad is certainly up to it. We must have a good season and finish fourth [to qualify for the Champions League]," he stated, speaking to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"I have always said this is important to us and those with a stake in the club."
The Italian international admitted the club's results have been sub-par, but insists whether a new owner arrives or not, the Giallorossi will fight until the end.
"It's a difficult time for us, no one's denying that. However, we must go forward and establish ourselves. If a benefactor arrives that will buy us [Lionel] Messi and [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, then everyone would be happy," he concluded.
Roma travel to the San Siro to face league leaders Inter on Sunday evening.
