“Gamberini suffered a tear of the biceps femoris muscle,” reads a statement on the club website.
“Scans will be performed tomorrow to assess the extent of the damage and the prognosis of this injury.”
Cristiano Zanetti made way for Riccardo Montolivo at half-time, and the note adds: “Zanetti sustained a thigh contusion which affected the medial compartment of his knee, which lead to his replacement at the end of the first half.”
Fiorentina are still sweating over the fitness of goalkeeper Sebastien Frey and young striker Steven Jovetic, who sat out yesterday’s clash with a hand injury and a toe problem.
